Ok, I am looking at upgrading my trusty old BEL 880 and cant seem to decide what one to get.. I have found the 880 is great for detection range but a little high on the false alert side of things... I was looking at the Bel 995, 965, RX65 or the Escort X50, I wanna spend under $300 but am not sure what to get. Are the new range of detectors much better than my 880, is the range better? less falsing??
So far I have used a Bel 720, Bel Vector STI and the 880...
I do a lot of freeway driving and surburban streets..during winter i do alot of driving to the snowfields on country roads for around 3 hours each way, In an area I know the Spectre 2/3 is being used a fair bit.
Are the Bel detectors upgradable if say a new technology is introduced to defeat the spectre RDD?? will Bel implement this?? I know thy havnt released and upgrades to us in the past.
I would appreciate any suggestions you have...
Ill continue to read here and gather as much info as I can..
