    Quota's are against the law.

We tend to work area's where surveys and statistics support the need for traffic enforcement.

Quotas or not, I see more traffic enforcement towards the end of the month.

Typically the end of the month. Not sure if it has anything to do with quotas, however, or if they even have quotas.

X2. We only see more at the end of the month because we are looking and that’s what someone else told us.

As was said before, federal law prohibits quotas. However, departments can SUGGEST to officers that a certain amount of "contact's" be made within the month. I look at the end of the month because I am usually lazy the 1st through the 29th.

Here, the most activity is during weekends and especially Friday and Saturday at night, and Sunday morning or Sunday afternoon when people return home after a trip.

Of course, after an announcement that a campaign starts for a specific situation, for example: the months June-July(against speed), August-September(against using of cellphone while driving and checking for seat belt) then we see more traffic enforcement.

Did you try shooting radar off the side mirror in the last few weeks?

    Performance goals = quotas

For the month of June I got maybe 3-4 saves. Yesterday I got 7 saves and saw 11 people pulled over on about a 15 mile trip to the store and back. Thank you V1! After about the fifth one I finally got the hint that they were out to meet their "quota", or whatever you want to call it. When I see that kind of crap happen saying you don't have some kind of quota equals **** flying out of your mouth!
