    I mount my detector under my rear view mirror. The onlt other thing that makes a lot of noise in the car is the wife, I usually mount her over the couch, hood of the car, park bench, stadium bleachers, boss's desk...

    mount it as high as you can. It might work better for you if you mount the cobra high up on the roof top of your car. This way when it flies off your car you will have an excuse to tell the wife you need to buy another detector.

    And this time, make sure you buy at least a pro-78 or better.
