Just one comment: they can radio your car's description and pull you over. But the cop that witnessed or measured your speed is the one who is supposed to cite you. If it is another cop that writes the ticket then get a lawyer and go to court. A good lawyer will have it thrown out, especially if the witnessing cop is not present at the trial.

Man, PSL +35, . With a LEO’s radio at hand, I think you just got lucky!

Aside from photo radar/ laser vans & RLC’s the only mechanisms to take license plate pictures I know of is with laser guns. Like the laser witness camera.

The technology is getting tougher. The Raptor RP-1 is “supposed” to be able to better assist / track you through heavy traffic by K gun, time will tell if it is just marketing hype or the real deal. Looks like it is trying to keep up with its laser counterparts.

I guess it was fast enough, because he didn't chase me. Needless to say, I got off at the next exit and chilled for a while. Got back on the highway a few minutes later, and saw the same one pulled over with a customer. So he WAS pulling people over...

My question is: Do any of you know if some state troopers have cameras for license plates of speeders they know they won't catch? It was just weird because he didn't even turn his lights on, but he 100% I/O'd me.
