Default mounting high + steath in honda accord

i wanted to mount my rd high for many reasons, you know most of them, my main reason is that i dont want any more attention to myself especially since i have been pulled over once for speeding when i didnt have my rd on! well anyway i,ve included some pics to see what u guys think. as you can see there is no room above the mirror sos my only choice is next to it. i do have a strip of tinting up there and i think it takes away a little from the rd

Unless it's metallic, the tint shouldn't take away anything from the radar detection. Laser is another story. You might hinder it a little bit, especially at night, but it shouldn't be too bad.

I too own a Honda Accord and I mount my RX65 above the rearview mirror with not problems at all. I see that your mounting bracket is a bit different and hangs down some, so this may be an issue for you because you may not have enough room. My tint strip does not affect detection at all and most of all it's hard to be seen by thieves or cops.

Put the detector behind the rear view mirror? I mean you guys should be pro's enough to know what a KA or K band alert sounds like on your detector. Do you really need to look at the display to see the meter go up? YOu can tell by the audio alone what's going on. The problem with detector displays is they're bloody obvious at night. Keep the detector behind your rearview mirror and you won't get pulled over a bunch of times to get harrassed for having a detector.

Use to have mine mounted behind the mirror now it's barely hanging out cause NY know just bought a bunch of different radar guns besides their beloved stalkers including the BEE III and Z-series so i want to see if i should keep POP on while driving on the NYS thruways

Behind the rearview mirror??? Well my RX65 wont fit behind the mirror. If I do this, I cant make adjustments to the mirror. Also, you block the rear laser sensor. I know the RX65 isn't the best on laser anyway but for me, behind the mirror does not work. I dont need to rely on the display either because of my position choice, it is a matter of convenience and security, let alone better radar performance.

If you get a laser alert from behind you already have a ticket. Radar detectors are useless when it comes to laser. Might as well turn that feature off because unless you have a laser jammer nothing can safe you(Veil past 1000 feet possibly.)

wouldnt puting your Rd behind the rearview mirror make the rear radar detection less range? I have no upper tint strip.
