Will a Escort SmartCord Work With A Beltronics RX65?

If I purchase a Escort Passport 8500 SmartCord will it function no problem with a Beltronics RX65?

I lost my Smartcord and I can get a deal on a Escort Smartcord.

Belscorts will work on each. Escort will power the V1 but that's it, no other functions.

The smartcord will fit the V1 and give it enough juice to turn on but it won't function properly?

It will power a V1 fine, I have done it. But the mute and the alert light won't work. As Isaid in my first post. All Belscorts will work with it.

Belscort cord will power the V1 but you'll also have trouble changing modes or programming a V1. Zombies can correct me on this if i'm wrong; I think I read it somewhere here.
