Default New radar detector called the Cheetah?

Quite simply the best performing radar detector on the market, irrespective of price.

Simple to fit and totally user friendly, The Cheetah™ provides an invaluable 'sixth sense' guide to staying within the speed limit and keeping your licence clean. The Cheetah™ speed trap detector gives advance warning of fixed and mobile GATSO cameras up to 400 metres away and hand held radar or laser guns up to 1/2 mile. The superior quality panoramic mirror gives enhanced rear view vision with greatly reduced blind spots. It is specially treated with an anti-glare tint to ease driving at night.

Each function is switched on or off by one dedicated button, making The Cheetah™ extremely easy to use. Audio tones and LED lights will instantly tell you the unit's current settings.

The unique design of The Cheetah™ speed trap detector means you don't need to remove it at the end of each journey. There are two integrated expanding clips which fit over most rear view mirrors, leaving your dashboard and sun visors clear.

Cheetah™ detection technology is the result of 3 years of intensive research and development, which has produced a class leading detector. For more information on which cameras The Cheetah™ will detect, please click here.

The Cheetah™ detector housing is shaped to provide the optimum sensor position for maximum detector efficiency. Our current model is suitable for right hand drive vehicles. We are developing a left hand drive model for use across Europe and this will be shown on our website when it's available.

yes, its been around for ages.

the only thing i dont like is that the mirror is too big,

if it was the same size as the old one i'd have got one ages ago..

pretty good concidering how thin it is.

I've seen similar, but I don't think I've heard of this one.

Ok, call me blonde if you must, but what is a "right hand vehicle"??

    Ooh!

Are they marketing as Cheetah now, hoping to get out from under their RMR reputation?

No, RMR and Cheetah aren't the same! I think all of us know RMR well... Cheetah is very different.

Speedcheetah is an English company. I have a Cheetah Mirror, it is developed for the English market. It has a remarkable sensitivity on K band (the UK Police is using K band radars only) with good selectivity. It was a good idea to put detector into a panoramic mirror but unfortunately they didn't develop its Ku and Ka (34.3GHz only) detection, that's why Cheetah Mirror isn't spread on the continent.

How do you fit a horn antenna in something that thin? If not a horn, I would think it had inferior gain.

I like the integrated-in-mirror idea. Everything else, not so good.
