    I voted other.

I had friends that always had them but they never really were a necessity to me. I did get a speeding ticket when I was younger and still didnt cross my mind.

My g-f transferred to a college about 200 miles out and for some odd reason I went and purchased one. It did come in handy on the 1st and only trip out there.

I guess I could have voted " They're cool" I am like Rob, into electronics. I really dont speed to much, its just an extra toy to play with and its fun knowing whos using the radar and whos not.

I agree. I found that once I got my detector, I actually slowed down when I thought I was gonna go faster Just learned that there are many ways to get caught and a few ways to counter them... :?

When speeding I just think of a deadly instant on hit, that keeps me from hauling it. I know about rabbits and such but what if you have the rabbit there and he for some odd reason doesnt check him.....then BAM nails you.

Instant-on is scary. Especially at night. Minnesota LEOs rarely use constant-on, and like to get within 100 ft on the highway then BAM! Ka9 alert screams at you. Too bad passive radar jammers don't work and actives are illegal :?

Radar was one of the first things i bought when I got after I got my first car (I got tint first)

I did not even want to risk getting a ticket, I have a lead foot and tend to speed a lot so I think it was a great investment
