    Default Interoperability

I seem to recall reading somewhere that certain laser jammer heads can be mixed and matched between various jammer systems. Is the same thing true for the remote radar receiver units that are used by the 9500ci, SRX, SR7, RX75+, etc.? Are all the radar receiver modules really the same device inside, just with a different case or label on the outside? Could I take a radar receiver unit from a 9500ci and plug it into, say, a RX75+ and have it work?

Is that why everyone calls them "Belscort" - because they share components and are interoperable?

Sorry for the newbie questions, but as a V1 Zombie, I am a newbie to the Belscort world.

The 9500ci uses the same radar receiver as the Bel STi-R (minus the laser receiver).

As far as the SRX/SR7/RX75, I believe all of those radar receivers are the same.

Whether or not you could plug in the receiver from the CI to a SR7 or vice versa and have it work I don't know.

The Escort ZR4 laser shifter can be installed to operate independently, or to interface directly into the Passport 9500i, Passport 9500ci remote, Bel STi Driver and Bel STi-R remote, Escort 8500 X50, Passport SR7 and Escort SRX radar detector.

As far as I know this applies to the ZR3 as well but are still the only two products that "cross-platform" if you can call it that.

Escort owns (literally -- I don't mean "pwn") Bel.
