My house had a branch come through the roof and water came in my house. My parents house had 2 full grown trees that were at least 100 years old uprooted from the wind and water and crash through their house. Their house is a total loss but they cannot contact their insurance company. I just drove 10 hours from Louisiana to Texas with my wife and 3 year old daughter to stay with my mother-in-law. Both of my sisters husbands had to travel hours to buy a generator to have some kind of electricity. I am sad for New Orleans because it relies on tourism, seafood sales, oil refineries, and its historical beauty to make money and that is all gone. I will be staying in Texas indefinitely with no job until electricty is back which won't be back for months. I will keep in touch.
