Default MultaRadar C -vs- Valentine V1

    Hey,

Looking for some experienced users with the MultaRadar C

I'm running the Valentine V1 is Euro Mode its mounted normal (horizontally) high on visor, antenna is about 2 inches from the windscreen and behind a tint strip (for stealth reasons!). (no heated windscreen!)..

We got 8 of these ****in things yesterday. I hear the range is about 300metres with the V1 any input on this.

I can't mount the V1 low as there banned here

With V1 in EUR-mode I get from 250 to 300m on MultaRadar-C,which is about the same range as I get on Multanova 6F.
If Multa-C is used in the area where there are false K-band alert(s),it's very difficult to tell if you are really detecting Multa-C or just another false K-band source, because there's no agressive or faster ramp-up and even up close ,V1 will not alert with full tilt -8-dots.
Arrows and Bogey Counter are great for this situations, but Belscort's Freq. Display can also be very helpfull, because almost all MultaRadar's that I've encountered so far, were operating at exactly 24.100GHz

Thanks MetalFlame thats good to know about the rampup...

Is that 300m approaching from the MultC form the front or the back??

I'd imagine well have front facing ones in order to capture drives picture

There is a couple of false Ks on my way to work I can drive PSL for these.

I get 400 - 500 meters with my V1 vs Multanovas. I'd assume Multaradar would be the same.

Yes,from the front. Here in my Country MultaRadar-C's are always measuring oncoming traffic(Thank God). But on the other hand,Multanova 6F's are almost always set up to nail speeders from behind.

    MultaRadar-C really re-defines the term "low-powered-radar".
Get this.I get the same range on Multanova 6F (Ka-band) shooting from behind,as I get on MultaRadar-C shooting from the front!...and MultaRadar-C is K-band,which is supposed to be more easy to detect than Ka-band...

    Man, you scared me

I hope Multa C will be far from my roads for a long time.

    Yeah,even your cat looks scared...lol

Seriously,I don't belive that MultaRadar-C will ever come to SK/CZ/PL,because it's WAAAY too expensive to compete with the local Ramet CHM Kunovice.I do not know the exact price for MultaRadar-C,but I know that Multanova 6F / DRS III with Robot-Smart camera,LCD-remote,Flash and 12V battery, costs 28.000€ and Ramet AD9T (roadside cabin version) costs 15.000€

to expensive? are you kidding me?

have you looked at any %ages on how much they making sending out traffic tickets?
I think it was in the 50+ million dollars in less than a month in AZ state alone.
you think they will worry about how they will spend to get equipment to make them money?
That a solid investment for the traffic enforcement around the globe.
