Default Fire hazard - important warning!!

Last night I posted a old video and my comments of a test that RacerX and I performed on the Equalizer VF-2 photo radar jamming device:

    VF-2 Photo Radar Scam!

This morning (12 hours after posting) I received a telephone call and the caller related that he had the VF-2 installed on his car and that the transformer was in the truck of his car.

The transformer became hot, began melting and almost caused a fire.

The caller wouldn't offer any other details and I AM UNABLE TO SUBSTANCIATE the callers claims.

The results of our test proved that the VF-2 was totally ineffective at "jamming" photo radar and/or red light cameras, so that should be reason enough to remove it from your car if you do have one.

However the risk of having this device cause damage in another important item to concern users with and I urge ANYONE that uses this device to check the transformer and consider removing it from their car.....

Costs a bunch of money, doesn't work, and might burn up your car! I can't wait to buy one.

Doesn't really surprise me - not at the Photojammer not working, that, as Roy pointed out to us, was already confirmed, but the device being a potential source of a vehicle fire.

To be quite honest, though, this kind of problem could present for ANY piece of aftermarket electrical equipment.

Any time you add something, it simply presents as an additional risk.

There's no exception to that rule. None.

Amazed that these things are still being sold.
