Oooh, nice quick catch!

Yeah, not a fan of the windshield at all. Stealth is much more important than location, so long as you are relatively level and have a quality detector. The visor, directly in front of my head, achieves the best balance.

And besides, that's as far as the stupid V1 cord will let me move it.

and with the addition of being slightly left of RVM and just touching it.

I mount mine above the RVM but I also made a matched leather visor thats the length of the mirror and is about 1"-1.5" long (from headliner to top of the RVM)

And when I've been pulled over for dumb crap, I leave it up and never had a problem. (And I live in Va)

I can see my detector but nobody else can except if your sitting in my car.

It was deffinatly a great addition I made.

Ford was kind enough to put some kind of texturing crap on my windshield behind the RVM which interfers a bit with one of the suction cups. I can mount it just a bit left of the RVM but not quite as high as I'd like, nor can I mount it just behind and below the RVM which is where I'd PREFER to place it. I've considered placing it on the dash but my hood scoop would partially interfere.
