Nice. I wonder what cool new products Escort is coming out with!? At least Escort gives us something to look forward to ... unlike, ahem, other manufacturers.

    For those 'undercover agents':

I hope its not something worthless like a radar detector with a radio and such... don't waste R&D on that BS... make a dash-mount 9500CI (with the sensitivity of the CI... aka: not the I[X].)

Also enough with the ports of your units, your flooding the market with units that are identical to one another... yeah choice is great: But I already know Beltronics can build a RX65 I don't need to know that Escort can port it to their product lines, paint it a different color and use C65 as a name.

    +1 to that.

How about smarter GPS ... I was unaware until today that Cheetah GPS products block out certain approaches to RLC's if they are not a threat ... 9500ix et al of course only block out a radius.

For example, there is a RLC intersection near my place that enforces only Westbound traffic ... Eastbound is not a threat. On Eastbound I don't get much range because the threat camera is the one on the other side of the intersection. Westbound I get full range. Cheetah's apparently will not even alert the Eastbound where there is no threat ... so I am basically getting a false alert there because it falls in the radius. I want smarter GPS in my 9500ix! ;-)

There's only one thing they could do that would make me even consider buying an Escort. And they can't do that one thing for a few more years, so they might as well take an extended vacation for now.

Woohoo! Escort's going to create their new IEEE standard for in-car wireless communications controlled from an 11" touch screen MFD!

    er...maybe?

And from Cobra, they're getting some bells and whistles (some of interesting use), but I'd like to see some performance. Put a bigger engine on that thing!

*realizes that Cobra takes the suggestion literally and actually puts a turbocharger on their next model*

A coworker came to me about radar a couple weeks ago, plus with the out-of-control speed cameras breeding like jackrabbits here in Arizona. Today, his new 9500ix showed up in his mailbox. Escort, feel free to send that commission check.

I'm guessing that Mike Valentine doesn't attend SEMA also.
