    Well, China never gives up on trying to product cheap knock-offs of well known American and European products. And that is exactly what they are -- cheap -- in every sense of the word. Cheap in price, cheap in performance, and cheap in reliability.

    Conclusion? The North American manufacturers (Bel, Escort, Whistler and Valentine) hold virtually all of the patents related to radar detector electronics design.

    I personally would enjoy seeing a test of the cheap ass radar detectors. Not the ones in the video necessarily but some of the Whistlers such as the model I use; the XTR-550. Anything under $150.
