After reading this thread, I just realized that we have a new forum-exclusive acronym:
CARD -- Cheap Ass Radar Detector
Like the uniden CARD-sized detector?

I don't know about other products, but that wireless RD(video time mark 1:20) has pretty good performance and it's "allmost" Spectre proof.Because it's not 100%(but close) RDD proof it has the option to switch off radar receiver at low speeds (user selectable),to avoid RDD.This RD beats RX-65 and 8500X50 on K-band and Ka-band by at least 150m.
I'm not playing devil's advocate here,I'm just reporting my experience with that RD.In Europe this RD is sold as W-finder Wireless MercuryX1

At least Whistler's overseas manufactured products are in a much higher quality class compared to BG T&A's (Cobra's) products. Whistler uses solid gold plated LO boards yet Cobra's LO boards obviously are not 24K or even 20K gold plated boards. And the accuracy of the positioning of all pick-and-place machine mounted electronics is visibly far superior on Whistler mainboards compared to Cobra mainboards. So, between the two companies, it is obvious which company cares more about product quality.
Hmm...BG T&A (BG Tech). I wonder if they ever thought about what BG T&A could be interpreted as standing for in the English language? BiG Tits & Ass perhaps?
