Default Why you should use your detector even on short trips

My wife and I went out to eat at a nearby restaurant (about a mile from home). When we got into the car to go home, I plugged in the X50 and she said, don't bother with that, we're not going far. Well, I plugged it in anyway, and half way home it picked up a city cop running K band.

I suppose one could argue that you won't likely be speeding on a 1 mile city trip, but I still like to know where the cops are.
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

I have it turned on on EVERY trip I make, regardless of if it's here to the corner store. But I do keep it off if im going from my house to my neighbors 8)

Fasten my seatbelt and turn on my detector. It's the law and a good idea!

    Saves me from "throttle-response profiling".

Mine is hardwired to come on with my ignition, so I leave it on all the time, and it just turns itself on when I start the car
