    Default Cell Phone Interferance???/

I was just on a trip to the Upper Penn of Michigan and I had my cell phone clipped on my visor. Every time my cell phone would ring, my RD would go off for laser?! That was odd. I have had a RD for years and never noticed such a thing. I have the RX 65. Has anyone else had such an issue????

I had this EXACT same problem, but my phone was next to my radio. I wasn't moving though so I knew it was a false right away. I had a friend in my car too who immediately told me that my detector must "suck". I had to explain that falsing occasionally happens. Hope your experience didn't scare you as that wouldn't help your driving... :?

The interference that cell phone creates when it connects a call is so high level taht it makes an RD crazy - at least the cheaper models. Try to locate Your phone further away from RD.

Its noothing to do with laser. The RD just reacts that way for the interference. Cobra XRS 9700 goes off Spectre Alert

Ya know, for 325 dollars, you would think Bel would fix the damned laser issues

I as well have an RX65 and it would always alert to laser when my T-mobile phone would be in use or if I was getting an incoming call. Now since I have switched to Verizon, I haven't had a problem since. I really think that it's T-mobile's network that is the culprit.

Mine alerts laser when I use GPRS to access the inet on my cellphone. If I make calls, it does nothing, GPRS only.

    Default I agree

I don't normally have my cell phone clipped to the visor but I was travelling and it was more convient on the visor. I have had a RD for years and never notice the problem. Then again...I never had my cell phone on the visor. For over $300.00 the RX 65 should be better...

My old cell combo (Motorola V60I TDMA / ATT Wireless) would sometimes trigger a POP alert on my RX65. New combo (Nokia 3586i / First Cellular) never has triggered an alert.
