On Woot, Whistler XTR-550?

Still for $40 and as a backup one, that is a good price!!! of course, I have no idea how that model performs, but $40 for any RD (but cobras) is worth it...lol

how does that 550 perform. im looking into getting my girlfriend a radar but i dont want to spend over 150 on one. she doesnt do over 8mph psl even with my belrx65..

I am happy with mine except one them has a defect that makes it alert to LASER after it detects a RADAR alert. The others works flawlessly.

I am happy with the XTR-550's performance. I think she will like it. I would suggest turning off VG-2 and SRS.

I am in the middle of an experiment running 2 XTR-550 units at the same time for front and back protection...

Yeah I should have bought a few for that price, I just didnt know if they were any good at the time.
