Default Anyone ever own a SuperFox Vixen II?

I have an old Superfox Vixen II from 1984.
In it's day, it was considered one of the challengers to the Escort by ComGeneral Corp.
It has a manual/fixed squelch setting which allows you to set the sensitivity along with a rotary volumn switch.
A row of LEDs at the top were popular in units during this time.
There was no off buttom to turn the LEDs off though.

It has long since been retired. My Dad used it in late 80s for a while.

Good memories of days of old ......keeping an eye out for smokey.

    Yep.

Fox was my favorite in the early 1980's. The squelch knob was a carryover from their original non-superheterdyne model , which had 2 plastic prongs sticking out the front, one for x band and one for k band.

The Fox Vixen II had somewhat lackluster performance compared to several other RD models of the same time period. It was extremely well built though. I have two of them.
