Default Super Fox Trucker RD: Oldie

I was going through a junk drawer of mine and realized I also have a Super Fox Trucker RD.

I is basically the same as the Superfox Vixen II but is another 1/3 thicker and has a huge eye-ball cover over the horn antenna. Still has the mounting bracket. Made by ComRadar Corp, Dayton, Ohio.

I recall buying it at a flea market a few years ago for $5. Plugged in it and it still works....LOL

Anyone know the history of when they built this model? It's built like a tank and is heavy.

It was produced at the same time as the Vixen II. I believe that was around 1983 or 1984.

What condition is your Super Fox Trucker RD? I might be willing to take it off your hands.

I would have to give it above average in appearance; has a few scratches/bumps on the edges, but does not appear to have fallen off the dash of an 18 wheeler...

I'll try to get a few pics taken and uploaded later..

OK, MEM-TEK; it's yours. It will make a nice addition to your RD museum and I'm sure you will give this oldie the TLC it needs in its old age...LOL

Thanks a million! I should gut it and attach its huge radar horn to the front of the front horn on DJ's V1 which I am using. I'd then have to mount the whole thing in a shoebox, but the V1's sensitivity to radar would fly right off the charts!

    MEM-TEK,
If you acquire it, can you show us the internals? Wow man, the foreward facing part of that unit resembles an X-band radar antenna.
