X band in NY State?

Hey guys..........just basically want to confirm my observations here before I disable X band. I am in NY state, in the mid-Hudson Valley and I have NEVER seen a true X band alert here. Just Ka and K mostly. Has anyone EVER seen a true X alert in NY state anywhere (local towns included). The only place I saw a true X alert was in Jersey. X band just falses sooooooooo much and I would love to shut it OFF!!! :x

I got a real X-Band alert one time near my parents' home in/around Saratoga County. A LEO was using instant-on X to measure people's speed when stopping at a Stop Sign.

I disable x through my regular driving/riding area and enable it when I'm out in the sticks and have less x alerts too worry about.

What detector do you have Squonk? If you have a Escort or Bel you should be able to set City mode to Low-X or No-X and use that in your falsing areas.

NY Staties don't use X as far as I know, but you never know what hick-town locals might.

I have an RX65. Yeah, I haven't used city too much. Does city mode only affect the sensativity of X band or all others too? I guess I could try that rather than disable it. I know all the locals around here use K and the staties use Ka and laser.

I turned off X on my bel simply cause my college town uses X-band radar for the stoplights and i only drive on the thruway where NY statie's hold juristiction and no X-band is used
