I think my closet call was a really short around the curve alert from my 9500ix, as I was tearing it up (60 in a 25) i approach a wide turn well the ix ramped up really fast in about 200ft I was so scared I accidentally slowed to almost a full stop,
I didn't see the leo so i decided to turn around and see where he was..well the kill zone was about 100ft from where i almost came to a stop he was actually just parked on the side of the road in a dark spot that for some reason your head lights didn't hit really as you turned.
Also not much of a close call but I got about 2 mile detection on CHP ...I was doing 152 in a 70 or 75
It was a laser ticket party on Highway #2 between Calgary and Edmonton.
Though I was following several cars, I was still targeted with laser. Tagged 4 times, if separate reports from my jammer represent separate attempts.
I was 25km/h over.
Two RCM-Leos were lazering traffic, 6 chase cars were lined up on the on ramp.
LPP saved my bacon.
"Don't Laze me, Bro' !"
Long stretch of wide open, single lane road with trees on both sides, and no intersections for miles: I was doing around 85-90MPH in a PSL of 50MPH. A LEO was traveling in my direction using C/O X band, which the V1 ate for lunch.
This was my biggest save yet...

Doing around 140KMH in a 100KMH PSL when I was hit by a 100pps Ultralyte. You cant see him but the LEO was hiding in the bushes on the left at around 38 seconds in (to the best of my knowledge as it was last july and the vid quality isnt helping much).
I wasnt able to see him with my own eyes until I was passing him . Only for my LPP (and the V1 alerting me also), I was toast .
By far was a save from a Mini-Van with a female driver (no joke)... I was on my bike.
I was in a 55MPH zone coming up to a huge hill, on the other side its a 1.5Mile stretch of pure flat road... But there are trees that cover the view of below (the 1.5 mile flat stretch) when you are on the hill.
At any rate, just before I start to ascend: a mini-van comes over and flashes her lights twice... at me, so I instantly scrap plans to hit the throttle on the other side.
I crest the hill... descend... all at 55MPH (On the speedo... aka ~52MPH). Sure enough... once I got to the flats off the hill and cleared the trees: Instant on Ka-band from a state trooper.
Had the van not flashed me I would have been toast.
The ironic part (I found this out later by talking to one of the troopers from the trap):
They were looking for a black and silver motorcycle (not me, though those are my colors) who always blasts down the road at ~100MPH in second gear... (this makes his motorcycle extremely loud)... and people filed complaints to the troopers, so they set the trap up.
At any rate, it was a Honda they were after, but they never caught him. He had ran from them at over 140MPH the day earlier too.
All in all... that was my biggest save ever, there is no way I could explain to them I never do that and they had the wrong person if i went into their trap at 100+
The worst part is I very rarely open up the throttle on public roads, if ever, so this one time would have given me a bad name, like a squid. That was in my 2nd or 3rd season of riding, and I haven't opened it up too much (unless in a group ride on the superslab) since...

My friend and I who both race superbikes were doing around 175 mph on the 51 north at 2 am on our GSXR 1000's. Not a car in sight. Suddenly we both see the small tail light of a motorcycle in front of us. It was a motorcycle cop.
We both pounded the brakes and ended up 100 yards behind him. He must not have been paying attention because he didnt do a thing. We took the next exit and laughed that we should have blasted past him. Oh to be young and dumb at the time
My biggest save was the first weekend after I got the 955 nearly two years ago. Going ~25+psl, I picked up Ka. Slowed down to psl, I see an oncoming state trooper a bit later but the alerts don't die down. A while later, I pass troopers #2, #3, #4 and thought there can't be any more, but the RD won't shut up. There's #5 at the trailing end of the pack a while later and it's finally clear as I pass him. One of the two out of state cars that were using me as a rabbit was nice enough to come around me and shield my car as the first LEO became visible. I took my exit a short while later and got the thumbs up from the two out of state cars. The 955 had paid for itself within a few days of purchasing.
My longest save was 20-25 over psl in unfamiliar territory on a rural highway. I thought the detector had a problem because I kept getting K-band but there wasn't anything in sight that could set it off. Until I see a LEO on the side of the road nearly 4 miles later.
My best save was about a month ago. Me and a friend were driving down this back road doing about 135km/hr in a 60 km/hr zone and now with ontario's new racing law if your going 50km/hr over its racing lol i came over a hill to a tractor doing 20km/hr and since this was a road with a lot of hills took us about 2 km to pass him on this flat part and just as we go to pass him on the right side of the road hiding in someone driveway was an OPP officer shooting I/O K. I know what he was shooting cause we turned around and did a quick run at him lol Anyways thanks to the farmer for helping us out lol
My best save was in December of 2007. 12 at night going 85 over 65 with only pack of cars about a mile ahead of me. On an Interstate with trees in the median with curves. I got an I/O Ka alert up ahead because the Cop tag the pack of cars with 18 wheelers included (ha ha). I slowed down and about a minute later, he tag me and he was hiding in the median lane behind trees and rails. I got a save from a nice long curve going 85 mph which is pretty amazing.
