    Default Noob Laser Question

Question: Is it possible for a LEO to use a laser unit at night? Just curious what the sight picture is through the display and how they pick a target. Are the crosshairs lit? Saw an LEO the other night parked perpendicular to traffic with the window down (standard laser position). But it was 11 at night and pretty dark. No alert from V1.

Laser can definitely be used at night. Here's a video of us testing my ZR4s against my PLII at night.

Not only is it possible, it is reality.

Look at my avatar and you tell me how hard it would be to target a vehicle at night.

Yeah, I've been lasered at night. In my pre-jammer days, of course. Now that I have a jammer I don't get lasered at all.

Just a friendly reminder for your LI users to utilize the kill switch once you've gotten down to the PSL. We don't want to speed up the process for outlawing laser jammers.

HappyA$$ just mentioned in the "DJ Scams" thread that he got pulled over for jamming a cop. I think he was talking about Ohio....not entirely sure. You know how he rambles on.....

I'm in Florida. It is supposedly legal here.

Regardless, I've read everything from the fear of getting arrested for obstruction of justice, to getting tickets for every little thing they can find, to having to argue with them about whether it is legal or not. I don't think anyone really knows.

Probably best to shut it off when you reach PSL. I have not encountered a laser trap in the two months I've had the LI. But if I do get tagged, I'm getting to PSL and hitting the kill switch post haste.

You tell me do they use laser at night after watching this. They use it more at night around here than at any other time.

They use laser by night here too...

I did a turn around here again tonight * to get a hit from another laser trap LEO. I decided that its pointless to upload the video or it would be very similar to this one except for the beginning where the LEO had the customer pulled over in a nearby car park so the camera couldnt see..

    ^Again by night *.

Shooting laser by night isnt hard. Just keep the dot/crosshairs between the lights and the readings come in the same as by day. It is a lot harder to spot them by night though but thats why we pay for these countermeasures .

    * Yes DJ by night .
