    Default hamster powered radar detector

I was reading on msn that some inventor finally harnessed the power of hamsters to provide electrically to small electronic devices. I was wondering what a good guesstimation of how many hamsters this would require and how much i would have to spend feeding them?

Btw I have heard a rumor. It is that Mike Valentine is going to patent a multiple hamster powered detector as we speak. Seems all the rest of us might just be stuck with single hamster powered detectors..

But seriously, I wish our government would bankroll the development of silicon rechargeable batteries. An equivalent sized silicon battery theoretically could hold 10X the charge of a Li-ion or NiMH battery. Such batteries would finally allow Escort to design a truly effective cordless radar detector.

That's because it doesn't say "Powered by Hamsters" on the side..

Like the Escort guy told me...The Solo S2 has a 4 volt circuit board and it cant compete with a detector with a 12v board...well it competes with a cobra just well. Its not the point of making the batteries lasting longer because it being hardwired even had horrid performance.

Make batteries with 10X the power capacity, and then Escort can easily create a new cordless design with an 8V or 9V circuit board. That would be good enough for really decent performance.

I'm sure that having hamsters in the car would eventually cause my car to smell like hamster poop. No thanks.
