Does cold effect the radar??

Young dude that was not a V1 sales , that was to show you that V1 dont seem have those troubles. I know at 17 lifes hard and your really dig chicks, beer,fast cars, and your di#k , you hat older peolpe, cops , teachers , parents, and people who have V1`s (cause you cant afford one :wink: ) But pls i can say to you that everyone here who is a member has alot of wisdom about detectors some people with more years hands on than your age. so speak with some respect when addressing members. yea man good point ...about me flipping out..but i realy hate when i ask a questions and i dont get an answer but a sentance or 2 on how much better the v1 is...thats all thats what makes me angry.

.My old rx65 would go nuts when it rained so there are a number of faults with them( from what i here in this room and my dealer). Also try this dont plug it in on start up my 990i really really didnt like that at all. Would come up with K band alerts pointed at a brick wall had three of them in the end all had power up probs , so just didnt plug them in on start up worked well.Let us know how you get on dude.

And to answer your question on a tech level, depending upon the temp and the operating specs for the RD, cold can affect the internal electronics. Even on the best - there may be a capacitor, diode or resistor that has a certain temp rating but doesn't quite meet the extremes on a low or high end. If you continue to experience this I would recommend contacting ESCORT and find out what you need to do.

I have experienced 2x now my RX65 showing a "SERVICE REQUIRED" message display and have no idea why. I've had it for less than 2 weeks. It's not cold weather related, but it has done this when I have set the RD on the console or the pass. seat. May be a sensitivity issue when the RD is close to the gearshift. When it has done this I shut the power off and back on, and it cleared.

Good Point, someone asks at simple question......and some insist on preaching about "mine's better...bigger ...etc than yours.
I've never owned or used a V1.....from what I've seen in this forum, don't think I'd want to.....I would not want to become a Zealot...or fanatic....like some.....V1 ers...(kinda sounds like whiners

)
