Default CB Radios vs Radar Detectors?

Since I see trucks pulled over occasionally, I assume that CB is not 100% reliable either.

But how well is the communication between truckers when it comes to warning about police traps? Any experience?

You'll just have to listen to all the NOISE in between. :x

MY scanner is perfect for picking up trucker's warning about cops. The CB reception was shoty before I got a mobile 15" magnetic antenna....I can't wait till i get time to get my ham licence and i can go for more of a permanet set-up. Till i get a CB my scanner and my extra antenna does the trick

Get a cb amp with a pre-amp. You can hear farther away. But it might bring up the noise to.
