I know a few of us here has encountered this situation to were we get 2 sources of radar ka & K band simultaneously from one law enforcement cruiser. I have encounter this particular cruiser a couple times but have not been able to get close enough to identify the source(radar manufacturer) and I said to myself that next time around, I'm going to make a u turn and follow him. Finally I was able to have that opportunity to meet him latlely and got that usual Ka band alert followed by a strong K band source as I past him. So I decided to take this opportunity and made sure it won't slip away this time. I finally caught up with him and looked at the antenna's and radar units on board his cruiser. Saw a K band antenna facing the rear and a Ka band stalker antenna facing the front that was attached to a kustom golden eagle unit with an L bracket. I could not believe my eyes and wanted to make sure I was right and I was. But not convince 100% because I know kustom operates in 35.5 ghz and stalker operates at 34.7 ghz. So I keep following him to confirm this setup. I could hardly see what's inside because it was late in the afternoon. Luckily, LEO stop at a local fastfood restaurant and got a good look of what's inside. I took a picture with my iphone to confirm what it was. To my surprise, he had 2 radar units. A kustom golden eagle and a stalker. The reason why I coudn't see the stalker at the distance was because it had the sunvisor that was covering the front plate and was installed nicely that it was hard to see both units at a distance even looking at it from the front.
Final thought. No radar unit in the market today can emit K and Ka band signals at the same time or simultaneously.
Not a very good picture due to reflections from the glass. I could have taken it from the front but will be difficult to identify the radar units. The radar unit on the right was a stalker and the one on the left was a kustom golden eagle with a stalker antenna mounted on it with an L bracket. As you can see, it confused me there for a moment having a stalker antenna attached to a kustom golden eagle.
