Default Instant-On K band hit on the highway

What would be the culprit for an I/O K band 24.135 hit on an otherwise unremarkable stretch of highway? No LEOs around and it was in the same place two days running so not another RD. No overpasses nearby, either. Has since been removed or stopped transmitting whatever it was.

I'm wondering if there was a temporary traffic drone but for the life of me I couldn't spot it.

    Can anyone solve my mystery?

Maybe a speed trailer or parked cruiser in the opposite direction... or on a street near the highway.
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

Did you notice any temporary message boards in those 2 days? We have those here but they have drones transmitting on 34.7 Ka.

If it was a parked cruiser he was well hidden, besides the stretch of highway doesn't have any roads running parallel.

Hit was approximately here: Google Maps (center of map)

Not sure how big that lake is, doesn't look like it is big enough for a Leo patrolling, i.e., no wake zones, etc., with a radar gun?

Any any farm tractors/equipment around for a couple days?

My guess is K band radar drones used for traffic monitoring systems. I've seen them here in SoCal, Seattle and the Bay area. They look like this and they suck!

Thanks for the replies all, I think it's a traffic drone they've been testing. I hope they leave it off from now on, it sucks!

I have seen these mounted on overpasses in TX facing oncoming traffic. Very difficult to see. First time I thought it was a LEO up on the overpass (a common tactic here) but then I saw the little gray box.

These are good for testing RD though....
