I was on the New Jersey Turnpike the other day and I kept getting a Ka signal. Then I got two signals (Ka). I looked everywhere and no police. The troopers use X band on the Turnpike. What was this Ka band? Ka is never a false signal in the Great State of New Jersey.
I then saw a New Jersey Transit bus with a SUV following behind it. Sure enough it was a New Jersey Transit marked SUV that was probably checking the speed on the bus. I guess they (NJT) conduct random speed checks on their busses. I never knew this.
I do know that they run radar on their trains but now I know they check their busses too.
