Radar == Black Magic!

Threads like this always crack me up. Most people just don't understand RADAR/LIDAR technology; to these people, it's all just Black Magic. Oh, and why didn't my cop detector go off? Do cops have some new kind of RADAR?

sure enough it was a state trooper, as we passed him he got back in the car,turned the lights on and pulled us over for 70 in a 55. By the time we passed him we were doing 55. The detector did not go off. Is there a new radar I dont know about. My detector allways goes off. I know it picks up k,ka, x ,laser and pop. I was reading on someother posts about speed photo or photo radar. So how did he get are speed.

If he was standing by the car then he was using laser. It cannot be shot through glass so he would either be shooting through an open window, or have to stand outside the car.

I read that laser can't pick up cars with a matte finish.

If you didn't hear anything from your detector then he was faking it and just guessed at your speed.

Yeah I always talk to people who don't understand the difference between a radar detector and a cop detector.

I can't believe how ignorant a group of people can sound. What they said is the equivalent of me saying...a girl cant get pregnant if shes on top, it's basic gravity.

Laser cant get you if you have a matte black finish? I would like to meet the person who stated that.

And I notice on about 4 posts they say "Well I got tagged doing x in an x and got pulled for it". These are the reckless drivers who have detectors and think they can tame the road by using them.
