Bel 940 V.S Whilster PRO 78SE

Is the 940 Pre POP versoin of the bel vector searies. I know you cant turn off bands on the 940. But does any one owned this detector how does it do against the SE Searies on ka band.

The 940 should slightly beat out the 78SE.

Here is an idea how the Beltronics 940 will do. I feel it will outperform the Whistler Pro 78SE and also have alot less ka falses.

I had a friend who had the older Bel 940 version and he had ka falses quite a bit. Sorry but I say go w/ the Whistler Pro 78SE. And this is not to say that the Bel 940 is a bad rd because it's not.

Thats a good example of better filtering as you climb the ladder in Beltronics models. The STI has awesome filtering, noticably better than the V995.

I would say it was just a hotter performing unit, as in product variances. All of the V series should have performed the same or very close. I do not think less filtering or quicker processer etc played any role since they were holding down the trigger for 2 seconds.

My V1 is hotter on 35.5 than DJ's and his is hotter than mine on 34.7. I think they just got lucky and got a great performing 940 by luck for their testing.

I am pretty sure that is a V940 that they were testing with POP and not a pre pop 940.

I believe older 940's did NOT have POP mode and the newer ones that came out did have POP mode.
