    Default Mounting

I can get a sweet deal at work on a Sr7plus a Shifter. I wanted to know if I could mount the radar sensor here so I would get a lot better range than it being on my grill.

Also would this be a good place to mount my shifter at?

Well unless they shoot the top of the front windshield mounting that high would be worthless

Go to the Blinder page here: http://www.radarbusters.com/products...er/default.asp

And watch the install video. That would give you an idea on mounting your shifter

Ok Iím confused now I thought you and many others have said to mount high for radar and mount low for laser. So I thought if I mounted the Radar sensor up high I would get a better detection.

The only way to know for sure is to get a couple radar guns
I would bet that it would be getting much better reception up there, but to come out with a percentage is hard without a test

To get a general idea, you could use my Radar Line-of-Sight Calculator:

According to Jimbos Calculator it would get better detection. If i were to mount the radar sensor there does it matter which direction its facing.

I would think that, with it likely having a front antena, you'd want it facing the front.

I like the idea of having the a display were my speedometer is and not having to take my radar detector down every time I get out of my car. Since I can get the Sr7 with a shifter for such a great price its hard to refuse. Looks like I will be buying the a laser shield, veil and a guys of lidar video from Roy pretty soon.
