    Default What does this mean????

This is actually the 2nd time this message has appeared. And i'm sure i'm prolly not the only one with this question but prior to now, i haven't had a reason to come up here and post a question/problem until now...

As i said this is the 2nd time this has happened, i'm getting a message on my Passport x50 saying "Self Cal" and it beeps and stays on for approx. 2-3 min. (maybe) and then it'll reset and go back into Auto mode.

    Can someone explain this please?

It means your X50 needs to be serviced. Hope it's under warranty.

The unit is calibrating, for what ever reason such as heat, voltage the unit fell out of calibration.

What you need to worry about if the screen come up service required. If that is the case, then you would need to send the unit in for service

It's probably just a matter of time before you get the "Service Required" (AKA: "Escort wants more of your money") message. I would suggest you send it in for a tune-up if it's under warranty.
