Default Can proximity to a radar "fry" my detector?

A simple question to dispel what I think to be a local LE myth:

Can extreme close proximity to an active X, K, Ka (or even a laser for that matter) fry the internals of a detector, effect sensitivity, or screw up the internal calibration in any way?

    Thanks,

    Mike H
