Default Yup, another what to get thread...

It's no secret that I love Whistler, but I want to have more experience with other detector brands. I want to buy a Belscort. My budget will be around $350, but if I need to, I can wait a little longer and my budget will be around $500. I only want to TEST this detector, as of right now, I don't plan on keeping it. Now, I know if I wait I could get the 9500ix, or the GX65. I would really LOVE to test the Truelock or whatever the name is feature. Or, I could just try a Vector or an 8500 or something else, just for the experience purposes. So, within my budget, what RD represents Belscort the best?

Also, after I return it, I'll try out a V1, then a Cobra.

I would wait and try either the 9500ix or the Bel STi. Dont waste your time with a Cobra.

Try the 9500i, then the V1. You'll keep the V1.

If you're only going to keep it a little while and then sell, I recomend staying in the top tier. If you look on Ebay you'll see the 9500ix brings pretty good money compared to the X50's, and I assume this holds true on the Bell models as well.

Resale isn't so high on Bels, probably because they were on sale quite often at CC.
