    Default Which Detector for 35.5

If you lived in 35.5 rich environment which detector would you use. The ISP seem to be using this 75% of the time around here.

You're up early...And worrying about non-sensical things like ISP. I stand by the concept that if they're not using C/O, you have no hope.

If there are a lot of off axis shots a v1 is not the answer. My local pd uses 35.5 and its close, too close every time. (like 2 seconds advanced warning)

Alex dosen't care if it's my day off, he wakes up at 06:00 and demands his first bottle of the morning and some Cherrios. It's like living with a Marine Drill Sergent he doesn't understand weekends and days off yet.

I partly agree, if you are out in the middle of nowhere with no rabbits at 2 am and the ISP I/O's you. I agree your toast. But on the toll road even if they are using I/O you have a chance. The reason I asked this question is I had a C/O encounter around a slight curve on 31 with the V1 that gave me only a few seconds of warning, I was not impressed.

Looks like the 9500CI does really well.

Anyone who owns both a V1 and STI will tell you, the STI outperforms the V1 on 35.5.

A lot of you V1 votes are from zombies who have never owned an STI.

I am not one of those votes. I have almost gotten owned too many times on 35.5.

Buy a Redline since its basicly a 9500ci without GPS & ZR4's, but wait awhile to see how it does against 35.5 before buying it.

Thanks for the reply's, I will use my STi more and see how it does. It's hard for me to compare, I don't run anymore than one detector at a time, so it's hard for me to gauge which one would have done better in a situation. What made me ask was that I did notice the V1 was really lacking with off axis 35.5, and it really wasn't a real sharp curve and I only had a few seconds warning.

I only put about 15,000 miles a year on a car now, I always like to hear what guys like Freebird and ProudNMAmember have to say because they are able to put 20,000 miles on a single detector in 3 months. I think the real world experience is alot better than tests, the GOL tests are nice and gives you a idea of how detector will do, but nothing really compares to real world experience.

    rocky2,
I'll throw my humble opinion in.... the escort 8500 non X50 performs well against 35.5. I know it's not on the poll but figured I'd mention it anyway. The STi (mine anyways) performs very well against 35.5.
