Best option?

Okay guys and gals, i know you must get questions like this ALL the time. Im a newbie to RD, looking for a good solid detector that will last me a while, UNDER 200$. I live in Alberta, Canada, so RDD is not an issue. This will be used mostly (75%) for highway driving. (Numerous highway hours in summer).

So, of the few im going to list off, what is the best option for me?

I'd look into the refurb Escort 8500 for $150.

Darn, i think imma just go with the Beltronics V940, seems decent enough for a newbie (me).

I would suggest you go directly to the escort ebay site and purchase a refurbished from them for 150 or an 8500 x50 for 200. That way it is guaranteed to work and you get a warantee with it. Don't use a private seller if possible.

X2 I just picked up an 8500 refurb for $150. Amazing deal and Radar Detector! I know you said they don't ship to Canada. I would make a phone call and see what they can't do! =)
