POP rumor....

I picked an X50 just this Tuesday and it false POP'd last night. Scared the * BEEP * out of me. Fortunately, that morning I discovered that that particular spot was also giving false Ka so I didnt completely overreact when it POP'd later that night, but still... I wish I could turn it off and feel good about it, but it looks like here in TX they use pretty much everything out there.

Just wait until you pass another car that has a Cobra RD...

exactly, i got so fed up with it that i just turned it off. id rather get a ticket than slam my brakes on every 5 minutes

What about on the V1? What alert to we get from leaky detectors like cobra? Ka?

mine goes off on both. ive had Pop falses and ive had Ka falses from cobras

My experience is mainly with the x50 and rx65. I don't use the V1 as my daily driver so It would not seem to false as much on the open road. ie long trips

No joke, A-Town. POP was a great idea but they released detectors that had it WAY too fast. For all the times you hit the brakes to the falses. you could have paid the same on a ticket :wink:

happend to me just today...i was traveling at about 80mph in a 65 on my way across town when i got a false pop. scared the absolue crap out of me. i usually dont push 75 but i was running a little late. i move over from the center lane into the right lane and set the cruise at like 68ish, thinking there was probably a cop up ahead. but not more than a few secones later, i see this grand prix come flying up in the left lane, look over an sure enough, a POS DETECTOR WAS HANGING IN THE WINDOW. that made me quite angry
