Default can a radar fall out of tune? i.e. Multanova

    Hello

    I was just wondering......
In my case i'm partciularly interested in the Multanova 6F.

Can a radar fall out of tune causing it's frequency to change? For example a multanova's frequency is supposed to be 34.3ghz, but on the X50 with spec readings....i've seen it read 34.2 sometimes, and my friend has even reported 34.1

This makes me worry because the Valentine one's euromode, only scans 34.3ghz +/- 100mhz, so if the radar falls too much out of its default frequency, the V1 may not pick it up at all.

I"m really concerned about this and would like expert advice, Jim? any others?

Since i got the V1, i've encountered much less radars....sometimes i wonder if its not picking it up at all? Or it could just be a coincidence.

All radar can fall out of tune, it makes an excellent case if you are fighting the ticket.

would it fall out of tune to the extent that the V1 set on EURO mode may no longer detect it?

I imagine if it fell THAT far out of tune it wouldnet be able to register speeds correctly..

    Jim, any word?

It is technically possible that one could drift outside of the +/- 100 MHz, but not likely at all. If one were to drift outside of this area, it would really be considered broken and in need of service. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Jim, if there was a unit that fell out of tune over 100mhz, could it measure speed accuratly?

i've often thought about why gatsos in the uk some are extremely hard to detect and some are easy..

strange thing is on some straight roads the gatsos oncoming will give massive range and some wont even though you can clearly see the gatso and there are no obstructions, and no traffic in some cases!

i've always thought that they are broke or as this topics says out of tune.

for the past month all the gatsos are off and the radars have probibly been taken out, so i recon they have sent them back to gatsometer for calibration....

i would like to find out what frequency some of theses hard to detect gatsos are?

because even if it was out of tune the camera people will still use them because they arent bothered if its accurate or inaccurate, if your on the film your getting a ticket.....

most of the gatsos are faulty and error prone anyway!

i read about one in the uk was constantly flashing, and everyone going through it were pulling over to see why it was flashing!
