    Default New Jersey Harassment

Recently traveled from home in PA to NYC, through NJ on Rte 78. Escort hanging in the windshield. Twice NJ Troopers pulled in behind me @ posted limit, close enough to obscure front grille, held there for 30 sec, then fired X-band radar and held it for another 30 sec. No signal to pull over, I signaled to pull over anyway and the officer pulled out and accelerated past me. Pure harassment BS. I guess they don't like detectors in NJ!

Police don't like to see detectors anywhere. It pays to conceal them even in places where they are legal, as they tend to pay much less attention to you. Then again I've had cops ride my bumper for no apparent reason even even without a detector in the windshield. I think that half the time they're just being impatient, and I've read on this board that they sometimes do that to conceal themselves from oncoming traffic. Too bad we can't give them tickets.

If you ever get a car number or license plate number you can file a complaint. The LEA office knows who's driving what and when.
