Sethy, I thought I read somewhere that they could get a reading from the right windshield under the right circumstances but the front plate and other shiny surfaces are better that the windshield. I am sure there are others on here that can give you a better answer.

    Default Windshield

If there is something reflective behind your windshield yes, they could get a reading. Do you wear mirrored sunglasses when you drive

So I take it I should be ok with disabling laser on my detector?

Why would you want to? Do you get a lot of laser falses? I've only had 1, and that was from a trailblazer's 3rd brake light, and was only for a second.

Is your detector low or high?

Strange. Maybe there are a lot of neon signs around you or something?

My last V1 (v 1.8 no pop) I had it mounted low and I used to get laser falses all of the time. Since I mounted mine high I have received one laser false in two months. Sethy this is what you need to do. Sell your V1 and buy an RX65
