I'm wondering what radar detector performs better on K and Ka. bel 995 or the Escort X50? Thanks

Both detectors are pretty close on KA. The Excort X50 will have slightly better K band than the Bel 995.

My X50 is just behind my ix on KA and way behind my STi-R but is super hot to K band, beating the STi-R on 50% of the occasions.

Does this mean that the STi-R beats the X50 the other 50% of the time?

Well, yes, but considering the price difference, you'd expect the sti to win more often.

Just an update from one of my other threads...the unit is going in this week because on my trip back from ATL, the unit started acting up so this may explain why the K band was lacking.
