Default How long is the patent?

Is there a time limit to patents? I mean will Mike V be forced to share the beloved arrows anytime?

maybe instead of showing arrows, why cant the voice just tell u? Like, "K band ahead!" That would be kinda cool. And if the cop is infront of you, then goes behind you, it could say "K band now behind you!" That would be cool as hell!

Well...patents last for 20 years, so:

    2005-1991: 14

    20-14: 6

They should have around 6 years left. Unless they acquired the patent before releasing the product to the public. In which case they have even less time.

That is a good idea! 8) You should call Escort and tell them that,
and maybe they will consider it!

The patents really aren't so much on the arrows, but on having 2 antennas within one detector.

No Sti won't have any problems. VR has two patents one is for two antennas 180 degrees oposed and another for 3 antennas at 120 degrees apart.
The STI is a dual antena with an opening or (aprature) on one end.

    Let's just put 2 antennae at 175 degrees... that'll show 'em! 8)
