What can possibly cause a false POP alert?
What can possibly cause a false POP alert?
Is it a K or Ka pop? Another RD.
It can be from other radar detectors. My X50 will do it when POP is enabled. With escort products, it is also harder to determine if the POP alert is K or Ka band because it does not give you the ability to determine the audio band alerts other than the "POP" alert displayed.

You know... now that I think about it I did get a POP save in Georgia. I think it was when I was passing through Atlanta...
PS. for those who don't know sarcasm, I have never been to the east coast and have no idea where to find Georgia on a map
There have been tests done that show pop increases sensitivity on 33.8 Ka, so if MPH kits are used in your area predominantly, you might consider turning it on. But as of yet, I've only found one town using exclusively MPH, and they were eclipsed by the larger city and county units that were based nearby.
