Default KA Band Satellite from DirecTV?

Just heard from a co-worker that DirecTV just launched a new satellite that broadcasts on KA as well as KU band, and there are new oval shaped dishes and LNBs that receive the signal...

Any idea of what this will do with possible KA falsing?

Well my ExpressVu (Dish in drag) [occasionally] gives me Ka falses in my driveway, due to harmonics from the local oscillator in the reciever box... damn thing makes a Cobra look like a V1

I don't think you'd be getting much Ku false from a satellite TV system on your RD unless you take it off and point it directly at the satellite. Therefore I am not terribly worried about this.

The DirecTV downlink freqs will be in the Ka band between 18 and 30 GHz, well outside of the police Ka radar band, so there should be no Ka falses from this at all.

also all the dishes on the roofs are RX only, even if it was around the same freq you would only get a false near the TX station...but would be rare as the dish transmits up.....
