Hello,
Anyone have any recommendations on the best type of moving I/O detectors?
Hello,

Yep. And an enthusiastic passenger with binoculars works wonders. Not kidding.
Moving I/O is our biggest REAL threat (assuming you have the bases covered). GSP uses that and laser frequently.
Moving I/O is deadly. Always keep it in mind when traveling if you don't have an impassable barrier between you and traffic traveling the other direction.
V1
Luck is the first thing and then comes 9500CI, STI-R, Redline, and the V1.
V1 owns I/O.
Thanks for all the quick input so far!
V1, rabbits and a sharp eye.
For radar shots above 1 second, I would go with anything with an M3 antenna. (9500ci, Redline or Sti-R) Of course get both if your budget allows. You can increase your odds but you still won't be invincible.
Try to have a rabbit and be in the right lane because it makes the cosign error bigger.
Funny you mentioned this..
I had my wife do this back in 1998 on a stretch of road in the Ozarks in Missouri. I was just kidding around and said take out the binoculars and see what you can see ahead (we were headed to a football game) in Columbia at the time. Darned if she didn't spot a LEO way up ahead on the opposite side of the road. Coming over a big hill into the flats she could see for miles. LOL
I don't think we had a RD with us at the time. If I did it was a Cobra my wife received as a Xmas present from her parents. lol
As far what RD for I/O.
V1, Redline, STI Driver. Add to the mix 8500S7 and a Whistler Pro 78SE.
