concealed??

i'm rather new to this type of thing, but they're a whole kind of helpful. i went to walmart and got a cobra, realized it was worthless, and returned it. after that i borrowed my friend's V1, and i loved it. unfortunately, i had to give that one back too... soooooo i really need to buy a real detector

i really want to have a concealed system, but i don't really need a jammer... at least i don't think so. i just don't like the wires and console right in my line of sight.

just let me know if there's anything i should do. i've got a budget of about 500 dollars at the moment, but i think i can get a little more. thanks a whole lot guys!!

Buy V1 with Conceal Display and Hardwire it to fuse box..

X2. I would buy the V1 and hardwire it to the fuse box and tuck all wires in the A pillar. Use the search. you will find way too many pics or instructions incase u need them...

If you are looking for a complete concealed system. Look around to see if you can find the Sti-R , which is currently discontinued but you can find them around on other online sites....

You can also look into the 9500Ci which is superior radar detector....

Doubtful that you will find a concealed detector for under $500. If your cost is your biggest concern go with the Escort Q-45 that seems to be your best bet for the price. Its detection is comparable to the 9500i or the 8500 series. Good detection as I currently use the 9500i, yet no GPS with the Q-45. However, the GPS doesn't seem to be a priority for you so go with this unit for the price and the ease of the install.

LOL! Chances are that this is absolutely backwards. You probably really NEED a jammer, and don't need a concealed system.

As QuickTrigger pointed out, you don't have to conceal it to eliminate the wire across your windshield. Do you see wires running from any other device in your car? Of course not. You simply reroute the wires.

if you like the V1 and you have the cash for it then i would buy the V1. It comes with the hardwire setup. Me personally I think the concealed display is overrated unless you HAVE to place the detector in a place not easily seen from the driver seat.
