    Default another hardwiring question

i will be hardwiring my v995 soon with a direct wire smartcord that i bought myself for chritsmas. i have 2 fuse boxes on either end of the dashboard and one under the hood. there are a few places in the side boxes that i could tap off of since there are no "empty" slots like there are in the one in the one under the hood. do you think it would be smarter for me to tap off of one of the interior ones, or go for an "empty" one in the main box? i dont want to have to screw around with wiring out into the outer box if i dont have to, but if its better for the power, i will be willing to do that. there are three kinds of fuses in the box, 20A 10A and 5A i believe. which one of these would provide the correct power for a detector? would you suggest tapping off of something like the power seat or mirrors? i'd also like a fuse that would turn off the detector when the car turns off
    thanks! Ted

I used my stereo to hook up mine......However I would recommend turning the detector off and on manually to limit the power surge to the detector

The stereo would be the most stable of all circuits in a car...fused and surge protected...ive run some pretty sensitive electronics off it and never had a prob...but if you wanna be sure do what Rob suggests...
