I dug out my old Uniden LRD 1900 3 Band (X,K,L). Is this good for anything more than a paperweight?

Cool to play around w/ but not w/ today's speed measuring tools used. Your best bet is either of these four, V1,Escort,Beltronics, or Whistler. That is all I will recommend.
I kind of figred it would be obsolete.
Unless I missed it - no section for Uniden and not much posting about them. I guess they did better in other departments, like CB.
I don't know how much better (if any) the Uniden 2200 or 2300 was than the Uniden 1900 because they all looked very similar. This is some old testing that was done 15 years ago in 1995 on the Uniden 2200 and 2300. I would assume that the 1900 would be older than the 2200 and 2300.

It probably is a bit "obsolete". Technology has came a very long ways through the years, both for counter measures and speed monitoring technology. Another crucial thing is the fact that it doesn't detect Ka band, which is used more than K band in a lot of places I believe.

It's worth $80 towards a top end Escort right now.
As far as detection capabilities....it might give you a chance against some door openers but not reliable running against a LEO.
Well I just bought a used Valentine on Ebay for $290. I hope it works out. I will get it next week.
